Welcome to the UW Demonstration Sites Team!
As part of the Inclusionary Practices Technical Network (IPTN) and supported through grant funding from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), our Demonstration Sites team partners with schools and districts across Washington to make inclusion a reality for every learner. We also work closely with schools focused on reducing restraint and eliminating isolation, ensuring all students experience safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower schools to build inclusive learning environments where every student belongs and thrives. Together, we envision a future where inclusive education is the norm—not the exception.
What Do We Do?
We support schools and districts by:
- Guiding systems change through use of the Principles & Practices (P&P) Tool and action plan
- Providing professional development tailored to local contexts
- Hosting visits that showcase inclusion in action
- Sharing artifacts and real-world examples of effective practices
- Delivering site-based coaching and systems-change support
