Position Description
We're looking for weekend caregiving for our 13-year-old daughter, Lola. She's a sweet kid who has cerebral palsy, well-controlled epilepsy and developmental disabilities, so she needs help with all daily living activities, as well as play and some physical activities. Lola's non-verbal, but can share preferences and requests using her AAC device.
Our ideal caregiver is creative, patient, playful, and able to connect with a non-verbal kid on her level. You’ll help Lola with dressing, eating, pull-up changes and toileting, and engage her in activities she loves, like art projects, board games, reading books, anything involving PJ Masks or Peppa Pig, and silly play.
Details:
- Schedule: 1 weekend day (Saturdays or Sundays, ideally 10am-6pm)
- Location: View Ridge neighborhood, Northeast Seattle
- Compensation: $40/hour through a payroll service
- Training & Support: We'll provide on-the-job training; a willingness to learn is all you need!
- Also in the house: an excitable Labradoodle (friendly but sometimes loud!)
